Demonia

Demonia is the subject of this short sequence of photographs. Demonia is one of the first characters born from Lydia’s imagination. Lydia is an emerging cosplayer from Cisterna di Latina. She has got a rich set of performances to her credid. The cosplayer wears the costume, evokes the nature and acts the movements of his own “character”. Demonia offers herself to the camera in a crescendo of terrifying attitudes. In these shots Lydia is costume designer and make up artist at the same time. She urges our demonic imagination through the exclusive use of red and black. For the photo shoot I chose a directional lighting intense and soffused by turns, and a black backdrop in order to enhance the dark atmosphere of the staging.
